Since I had a c-section with Paizlee my Dr advised that I have another one with Ayvree. We had a scheduled c-section on April 27th, we had to be there at 5 AM to start prepping for surgery and the actual c-section would start at 7:30AM. My Aunt Tiff came over about 4:30AM to stay with Paizlee, and Cory and I headed to the hospital. Once we got there I got dressed in a gown, and they started putting IV's in and getting things ready. They tried about 4 times to get the IV in but kept missing my vessel, they finally called in a Dr and he got it in the first try. Thank goodness cause it hurt and I was already starting to bruise! My Mom, both of my Grandmas, Corys Grandma, and his friend, Paul, were all there to wish us luck before we went into the operating room. We walked into the operating room a little after 7:30 and got things going right away. It is such a weird feeling knowing you are going to see your baby within a few minutes, and its also scary to get an epidural when you arent even in labor! They put some medicine in my back to kind of numb me, then they started to put the epidural in. It didnt hurt, but it was a lot of pressure and made a weird noise as it was going in. Thankfully I could lean on Cory the and talk to him the whole time to keep me preoccupied! After the epidural was in I laid down and waited a few minutes to be completely dnumb. I threw up a little, the Dr said it was cause they just put a ton of medicine in my body at one time. After that, I felt completely calm. I was very relaxed and ready to meet my baby. Although I was REALLY cold and shaking pretty mad. They said they were going to start cutting, and within a few minutes I felt a ton of pressure, then I heard my sweet babys take her very first breath and cry for the first time. It is the most UNREAL feeling in the world. They cut her cord and brought her over so I could see her, tears just ran down my face as I seen my daughter for the very first time. Meeting your child for the first time is the most awarding, exciting, precious moment you will EVER have in your life. Words cant even describe it. She weighed 7.3 and was 18 inches long. After that, Cory went with her to the nursery while they finished with the operation. As soon as they were done they wheeled me into the recovery room where my Grandmas and Mom were waiting for me. I remember being SO thirsy and couldnt wait to drink some water. So they brought me a cup of ice water, then brought in my baby so I could hold her for the first time. She was so perfect and I could not believe that is what was inside me for 9 months, kicking and moving all the time. I just soaked up my first few minutes with her, then decided to share so my family could hold her! We finally got put into a room, and had non stop visitors until we went home. The most important visitor was Paizlee. She was so excited to meet her sissy. It was so nice to get home and have my family under the same roof. I am also grateful for my family and all the gifts, visits, meals, and taking Paizlee when I needed a break!
